Once a photojournalist, always a storyteller…

The BEST part about being a photojournalist was making genuine connections with new people every day. Which is something I’m so grateful I get to continue doing with the best clients!

I’ve been a professional photographer since graduating with a photojournalism degree more than seven years ago and working in the newspaper biz in the Chicago ‘burbs. After earning a box full of press awards over the years, I’m finally back to snapping pictures in Pittsburgh where I grew up.

I spend most of my free time day dreaming about traveling (uhh hello wanderlust). If there’s ever a time I’m humming or whistling, it’s probably Jingle Bells regardless of the time of year. I still have tea parties with my mom on the regular. And fun earrings are my jam.

I want to photograph you as you are, because there’s nothing more beautiful than that. Will you let me tell your story?

I’m in a season of second growth

Have you ever been to the forests of the Pacific Northwest and seen a new tree growing on top of an old tree stump? The new roots grow around and down - encasing the previous stump and proving resilience of a new beginning where there once was an end.

I first saw this at a time in my life of serious change and redirection and I’ve really taken in this sight as a symbol of inspiration of where I have yet to go and what I have yet to accomplish.

The motivation for my work is driven by love. I’m the luckiest gal in the world to be able to witness all the love that brings people together.
